Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Highroad wishes all of you a happy St. Patrick's Day! The St. Patrick's Day (irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a memorial day of the irish bishop Patrick, who died at May 17th. He's said to be the first christian missionary in Ireland and from then on, he's honoured as patron saint of ireland.

Happy St. Andrew's Day!
Highroad wishes you a Happy St. Andrew's Day! Scotland's national day is that of St. Andrew's death, one of the Twelve Apostles - he was pretty nasty crucified (even for roman standards) on an X-shaped cross in Greece. Bits of his remains were moved first to Constantinople, then to Amalfi and last by a greek monk due to a divine illumination moved to Scotland, which inspired the scotts to their national flag.

Happy Halloween!
Highroad wishes you a pretty scary halloween. Named after "all hallows' eve", the evening before religious celebration day Allhallows, this tradition came mainly from catholic irish emigrants to the USA. Legendary and historically not proven is the connection to the celtic-anglo-saxon celebration of deathgod Samhain. From there comes probably the connection to the realm of the dead and ghosts. An common irish translation is "Seán na gelaí" ("Sea of lantern").

Highroad proudly performed together with Kathy & Paul Kelly (Kelly Family) at the opening concert of their "Scottish-Celtic-Christmas"-Tour 2016.

Feedback is very important for us - thank you, keep going!
We received even in the first weeks after relaunch of the new homepage many positive feedback from you. As well as some ideas of improvement which we even could incorporate partial - the rest are a bit more longterm, but they are on the ToDo-List. We want to thank you for your feedback (especially Betty, Markus, Stefan and Thomas, as well as all others) - please keep going this way!

Relaunch of our homepage - we're presenting us in a new way!
After long and intensive work on our new homepage, we're now very proud to present you the new page. We hope there are not to much bugs - despite of even straight due to the proprietary development of the homepage... If someone find's an error, bug or other type of mistake, please contact us, so that we can repair it.
Also ideas of improvements or supplements are always welcome. Please contact us also in this case.
